Interesting topic!

I was today contacted by this “Boutique” Staffing Company in Chicago regarding a Business Analyst’s position. I being very picky asked them if they could tell me something about the client. They in turn started telling me how niche they are with self proclamation of calling themselves a “Boutique” company. When I visited there website, they had a host of services and would almost cater any type of clients.

I am still wondering why on earth; a regular staffing company calls itself a “Boutique” since they do not specialize in one particular field or have a specific services offer?

I believe at the end of the day, its just a gimmick to sell as posing being different does catch an eye or two in today’s volatile economy, especially for a run out of mill individual like myself!

I just took my interview… I can’t believe that one of the questions I was asked I just found on this website!

I’m glad I didn’t see it before though its good to go in fresh and use your own reasoning. The answers above might not even be the answers they are looking for!

Anyways I have to wait 1-8 weeks now. *fingers crossed
