Scenario: You are new to the company and have been given a task to write content for a large client. After going back and fourth for days, you have finally submitted your work to the client. The client does not like your work and has brought it to the attention of your manager. How do you resolve the issue? How do you regain confidence from the client?

As a copywriter you will be working with various clients from many different industries. It is important to discuss theme, style and length of copy with clients, to determine the most suitable approach. What steps do you take to determine the best approach for your clients? How do you transition your writing style from one client to another?
How do you build and maintain strong relationships with your clients?
Describe some of the webcopy, brochures, annual reports, documents, speeches and/or other sales and promotional material you have written in the past as a copywriter? What was the most complex project you have worked on? What made the assignment challenging and how was it resolved?

What approach do you take as a copywriter to establish strong relationships across departments and gain an understanding of client needs, the consumer experience, marketing strategy and operational capabilities? In your mind, what makes you a good copywriter and why should you be considered for this position? How do you stay current in the world of copy write, publication, writing, marketing, web SEO etc.?

As a copywriter, you are sometimes faced with multiple concurrent project of various levels on an ongoing basis. What tools and processes have you developed to organize your workload? Provide us with an example of a time when you had multiple tasks to complete by a particular deadline, how did you manage?

Describe a copy write project you worked on where you:

-Assisted art directors with ideas for advertising and promotion, (e.g. often thinking up names for products and the slogans that appear on the packaging and other promotional material.)?

-Worked closely with the graphic designer to architect and implement the overall look and feel of the outbound consumer communications materials and website offering?
