Massage Therapist, RMT Job Interview Questions

As a Massage Therapists you will be required to assess clients’ soft tissue conditions, joints, muscle strength and their range of motion. Provide an example of how you assessed a recent clients and what steps you took prior to working on them?

Massage Therapists must consult with other health care professionals like physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists prior to determining and developing effective treatment plans for a client. Tell us a time when you had to consult with a healthcare professional prior to determining a client’s treatment. What considerations do you assess? What sort of questions do you ask the physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians and psychologists?

What has been your biggest challenge working as a Massage Therapist? How have you dealt with difficult client’s who may have come back to you claiming that your therapy didn’t provide any results?

If I was a client in search of a RMT, why would I choose you over other Massage Therapists? What qualities do you have that make you a good Massage Therapist? How do you maintain current in the field?

Do you provide clients with rehabilitative exercises after they have completed their session? What do you do to follow-up and ensure a client’s wellness and that your therapy has been beneficial?

Scenerio: I am a client who has come in for the third time for massage therapy on a nagging neck strain. You have been providing sessions and rehabilitative exercises but the client still complains and there seems to be no results from previous sessions.
